Very professional team and not pushy whatsoever!! They picked me up from the airport. Car was ready in the showroom and presented very well. Gave me the keys and allowed me to go over the car in my own time without hanging over my shoulder talking and giving it all the usual salesman pressure. Test drove the car by myself, car was fuelled up ready for a 500mile trip home. Car developed an exhaust rattle on the way home but this is something I have contacted them about and they are fully supportive to correct the issue. Would highly recommend 10/10

Very strange interaction with this garage. I tried to buy a BMW M2 they had for sale but they were bad at responding to emails and promised to call back three times over the course of a week and never did. I get the impression they didn’t want to part ex my M4 due to the service history but it would have been nice if they had the decency to tell me. I would have been happy to sell it elsewhere but never got the chance to discuss this with them. Bought an M2 from a BMW dealer in the end. If they don’t think you are worth their time it seems they can be quite rude…

Great service from the guys at Sutherland cars. Bought and sold through them and a pleasure to deal with.

They leave cars advertised for sale after they’ve been sold (several days prior) which is just a poor business practice. If all garages did this then half the cars in your search results would already be sold, meaning you’d have to try and remember which ones have and haven’t been sold.

Rating as a 3 because apart from the above it looks like a decent, well run business, which seems to be quite rare these days. Responsive to enquiries – albeit all of my enquiries were in relation to a car advertised for sale on Autotrader which had already been sold 5 or 6 days ago. The advert is still live today. I did query this after my final enquiry and was told that it remains in their ‘stock feed’ until it gets collected. It isn’t a stock feed, it’s an Autotrader ‘for sale’ listing and if it’s not available for sale it just wastes peoples time.

When I enquired about purchasing an Audi S5 V8 from Sutherland automotive I called and had a very nice chat with one of the representatives (whom I would happily name but apparently any personal information is redacted from these reviews). We spoke about the car in depth and I was made aware that this was the second time that Sutherland had presented the car for sale. The returning previous customer had enhanced for another. We discussed the fact that as a car enthusiast and an automotive after sales manager, the preparation, delivery and presentation of the car was paramount. After the sale was agreed I received two walk around videos of the vehicle and once the preparation was complete the car was delivered the 200 + miles to my home address in their enclosed trailer. The quality of the preparation was exceptional, for a car that is 16 years old you would honestly think it is 3. It was the difference in the paintwork, not aimlessly placing number plat screws and instead using tape to fix them, the brake calibers being so clean and painted and the insides of the wheels and wheel arches being as clean as the outside. It was a wonderful experience considering I was buying a performance car. I feel the car does have an intermittent mechanical issue and have already been assured that if needs be it will be taken care of. I can’t recommend this dealership highly enough and would absolutely buy from them again.

Fantastic experience, agreed a good part exchange price for my car. Car I was purchasing required new tyres for the MOT which were sorted and a new alloy was also put on the car. Arrived and the car was immaculately clean and indoors so I could view it without issues with the weather. The site is very clean and organised with lovely stock. Paperwork was dealt with quickly, options to purchase additional insurance, not pushed at all which I really like. Would definitely use again, hopefully will not have any issues with the car, however, feel I would be looked after of I did.

At Sutherland Automotive I found all the chaps there honest, kind, courteous and professional. Buying a car can be a very stressful experience but everyone there made it much easier than I had expected, particularly Jack who was so helpful and a pleasure to close the deal with. The dealership is clearly well run, customer service is excellent and you can see the passion behind the business. It was well worth the journey from the Midlands to buy my VW Up gti.

Helpful people and good selection of cars.

The best experience I have ever had from a car dealer! If I could rate them higher then I would. Excellent service from start to finish, they made the process so simple and hassle-free. I dealt with all the J’s and they were all brilliant. It never felt like they were trying to push a sale at any point and truly want what is best for the customer.

Before delivery, they put my car through their workshop and detailed it to make sure it was in the best condition possible for me to enjoy when it was delivered. It was like receiving a brand new car.

A really positive experience with Jack and the team at Clifton Cars. Having seen a few cars in the metal in my local area, and not being satisfied with their condition, I was reserved about buying a car over 150 miles away without viewing it first, however I was very pleased to find that my car was a really great example as per the listing, and the guys at Clifton are clearly selective about the cars they bring into stock. Although they offered a reasonably priced delivery service (first 100 miles are free) I elected to take the train down and was offered a lift from the station. The rest of my experience was hassle free and every effort was made to make sure I was completely satisfied. Again, such a refreshing change from many main dealer experiences I have had and I would thoroughly recommend.

Absolutely hands down the best in the business. Jack has now supplied me with 4 cars over the last couple of years never had a problem. He knows exactly what I want and makes the buying experience as easy and simple as can be from start to finish.
